About Me
I'm Alex from Juicy Organics. I started Juicy Organics because of my family's love of gardening, growing microgreens and healthy eating. I even won a healthy cooking contest at a local restaurant for my gourmet vegan flatbread recipe which features microgreens! I've been growing microgreens for several years and I've won awards at the county, district and state level for my microgreens demonstrations. Through my website, social media and educational workshops, I hope to share what I've learned in my experience of growing microgreens to help educate and empower others to grow their own fresh, nutrient-dense food source! Over the past 8 years, I've been leading and participating in service projects and these projects have made me think about the world around me and how I can make a positive difference. I decided to combine my knowledge of growing microgreens with a service project to provide microgreen kits to youth in food desert areas. Through this project, I've had the opportunity to teach other kids how to grow microgreens. Going forward, I would like to continue finding ways to share my knowledge to benefit the community.
